The Rideworks fleet includes a BMW F800 GS for adventure touring and longer-distance hire, and a Triumph Scrambler for shorter scenic rides. Prices are in NZD and include GST unless stated otherwise.
Check AvailabilityThe BMW F800 GS is the core Rideworks touring motorcycle — comfortable, well-equipped and suited to sealed-road touring, weekend escapes, multi-day North Island rides and longer South Island hires by arrangement.
Longer-distance and South Island hires are assessed case by case based on duration, rider experience, timing, route, ferry travel, bike availability and hire conditions.
The Triumph Scrambler suits experienced riders who want a relaxed, character-led ride — shorter scenic escapes from East Auckland rather than long-distance touring. Approved road-use conditions apply.
The Scrambler is offered first as a self-guided road hire option. A future Scrambler Scenic Day format may be developed later, subject to route testing, insurance confirmation and demand.
Arriving without your full riding kit? Rideworks can provide limited gear support for approved hires, subject to sizing and availability. Gear is designed to support the motorcycle hire, not operate as a standalone gear-rental service.
For hygiene and safety reasons, gloves are sold new rather than rented.
Rideworks is for experienced motorcycle riders who hold the right licence and are comfortable riding motorcycles of similar size, weight and power.
Commercial rental insurance, bond/excess requirements and hire terms apply to every Rideworks hire. Pickup is confirmed once the required licence/ID checks, payment, bond or excess authorisation and hire agreement are complete. Rideworks vehicle insurance is included, subject to the insurer’s terms, limits and exclusions. The standard customer excess is NZ$2,000 per incident. A NZ$5,000 credit-card pre-authorisation is required before the motorcycle is released. A NZ$5,000 excess may apply where the insurer classifies the loss as theft or non-return by the hirer.
